My love of textiles was kindled in the mid 1970's when my grandmother (a dressmaker) and my mum would spend hours making my clothes and ballet costumes.

This continued well into my late teens. I was fortunate to have access to a fabulous textile department at my first high school, which was where I first dabbled in quilt making, but textiles took a back seat to a radio career for many years.

After the birth of my first son, I was re-introduced to patchwork. Now my boys are grown and I sew regularly with my mum, who is a prolific quilt maker, specialising in English paper piecing. We relish every opportunity to share our love of patchwork.
