Mixed Media & Fibre Art

Sally is a multimedia artist. This new body of work has been informed by contemplations on craft and ritual, the skills we are taught or inherit, as well as the healing capacities of art practice.

These mixed media works use colour harmony, texture, and intimate dimensions to evoke the embodied feelings I experience while making. I began to produce these small pieces during a recent overseas trip, as a means to maintain my daily practice on a greatly reduced scale.

They have evolved into an investigation of works I have produced at different points in my career, rekindling the memories and physical sensations attached to them.
