Painting, Drawing & Printmaking

Born in country Victoria, Alicia’s need to create art has been lifelong.

After pursuing a career in nursing, she studied drawing privately and then went on to complete a Diploma of Visual Arts at Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE and a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Majoring in Fine Art, at Latrobe University.

Alicia works from an open studio space as part of the Artists in Residence at Valentine’s Antique Gallery in Bendigo.

Her work encompasses painting, drawing and printmaking and revolves around finding an outlet to express experiences without being didactic. That might be something symbolic using printmaking, something immersive using oil paints or sitting drawing carefully an expression of emotion.

Her art is generally figurative, symbolic, detailed and considered.
