Painting

Crothers draws inspiration from the surrounding region of Central Victoria. He is passionate about capturing the transient and changing character of Australian life. His passion for representational art is expressed through a diverse range of mediums.

Darren studied Fine Art at the Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney, in 1995, under the tutelage of such Artists as Francis Giacco, Nigel Thomson and Paul Delprat. Upon completion of his training at Ashtons he studied privately with the Artist Graeme Inson.

Darren’s work is now enjoyed throughout Victoria. He’s a regular at regional art shows and teaches adult classes from his Maiden Gully studio.
