Painting & Installations

For just over 10 years my art interest has been in painting, predominantly utilsing acrylics. For the past one year however I have concentrated on a range of installations.

As a seemingly innate and compulsive fossicker I revel in the thrill of the find, natural or man made, bush or beach, and/or the local refuse station. These finds are treasures that I use in my work to highlight the ongoing dilemma between the world of consumerism, destruction, degradation and the natural order of balance, beauty and purity in Nature. In 'Serendipitous Clash' I have used old rusty buckets and drums found throughout the Bendigo bush as bases for displaying finds collected over a number of years .In 'The End of the Line' I have utilised discarded fishing nets and buoys, and have created dozens of paper mache fish, now 'caught' in the nets.
