Sandra Hosking
Sandra Hosking is a mixed media artist with a focus on drawing and sculpture.
Working with charcoal, pen and graphite as well as found items, natural materials, textiles, stone and clay, Sandra is inspired by her fascination with the complex yet simple motifs repeated in nature.
Her ceramic masques, created with locally sourced earth, rock or plant material embedded into clay, explore truths about our connection to and reliance upon our environment, both physical and social.
Sandra is a qualified trainer, and is passionate about engaging her community in activities which improve personal and social wellbeing. She has provided creative workshops for a broad range of participants, including primary school students, adults with varying abilities and artists at various stages of practice.
Her work has appeared in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
